About the event

Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgugram organized “Dronathon 2022” from 26th - 28th May 2022. Under Dronathon, “Technical Extempore” was conducted on 26th May 2022.

The main objective of the event was to make the students confident and better orators so they can fearlessly express their view on any topic.

Participants were judged on the criteria of Presence of Mind, Awareness, Fluency in language and Confidence

The extempore is carried out in the following steps:

  • A random topic is allocated to the speaker: The allocation of the topic is given directly by the jury member or by picking up of a chit from a box.
  • Preparation time is given to speaker: A preparation time of 2-3 minutes is given to the speaker to consolidate his/her thought on the allocated topic.
  • The Final Speech: The speaker then has to speak on the topic within the stipulated time. The basic speech structure should contain introduction, main body and conclusion.

Some of the topics decided for the technical extempore were Cloud Computing Evolution , Green Computing, Advanced Home security solutions , Electronic Ballast, Ethical Hacking, Future of Technology, Traditional and 3D modelling, Cybersecurity, Storage area network, Communication Network Design, Artificial Eye, Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Robotics and automation , Aeronautical Communications, Space mouse, Fusion Technology, Debugging, Cloud storage, Digital image processing, Smart card technology, Augmented reality, Autonomic computing, 5-G technology, Face detection technology

The participants delivered their speeches with great confidence and left no stone unturned to give their best on the topics they got.

The students showed great fervour and poise in their respective presentation. The judges found it very difficult to select the best students from all participants.
